American Muscle, released in 2016, is an album by Polyester the Saint that pays homage to the classic ‘90s California G-Funk sound while incorporating a modern and refined touch. Featuring deep basslines, melodic synths, and laid-back rhythms, the album creates an atmosphere that is both nostalgic and contemporary, capturing the unique spirit of Los Angeles.
Polyester the Saint began his musical journey at a young age. At 13, a close family friend, Stevie Wonder, gifted him a Yamaha keyboard an inspiring moment that set him on his path. Since then, he has built a strong career, producing for prominent artists such as Dom Kennedy, Casey Veggies, Nipsey Hussle, DJ Quik, Problem, and Curren$y.
His smooth style blends rap and singing, delivering vivid stories rooted in California’s urban life while maintaining an authentic, relaxed vibe.
American Muscle features collaborations with key West Coast artists including Dom Kennedy, G Perico, Bad Lucc, Jay 305, and Krondon. These guest appearances bring diversity and depth to the project, enhancing its impact and reach.
With this album, Polyester the Saint solidifies his place in modern California hip-hop, offering a sound that is both classic and innovative, praised for its consistency, polished production, and quality features.
